The Nature Conservancy's Disney Wilderness Preserve is a remarkable place for nature lovers of all ages and interests. The preserve is home to hundreds of wildlife species and is bordered by one of the last remaining undeveloped lakes in central Florida.

A 3-mile hiking trail and Sunday buggy tour are available to visitors who want to learn about the preserve’s resident plants and animals and the Conservancy’s efforts to restore and protect them.

Just south of Orlando at the headwaters of the Everglades ecosystem.

The preserve is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is closed on major holidays.

Please call the preserve before visiting (407) 935-0002. It is occasionally closed during our normal hours and days due to flooding or restoration activities.

We are open on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. October 1 through May 31 for a buggy tour by reservation only. Please call by Thursday afternoon before the Sunday tour that you would like to participate in to make reservations as we will only have a tour if we meet a minimum of 10 people.
